He is a literary agent working for the Latvian Literature Platform, which was set up in 2016 to promote Latvian literature abroad. He also works as a literary translator, having translated 25 books from Latvian, Lithuanian, Estonian, and Latgalian into English. His essays and other writing about literatures in the Baltic can be found in Words Without Borders, In Other Words, and Panel Magazine, as well as other print and online publications.
