Das Buch: German-Language Literature is a literary programme prepared by the Goethe-Institut, the Austrian Cultural Forum and the Embassy of the Swiss Confederation in the Czech Republic. The 18th edition of this programme features meetings with authors and presents new translations of their books. The Das Buch booth offers a coffee bar, German-language books and textbooks visitors can buy, promotion of foreign support of translations and books that won the German Book Prize.

In addition to political and economic diplomacy, the embassy is also active in the area of culture. Every year, it invites writers to Book World Prague as part of the Das Buch literary programme which promotes contemporary German-language literature. The embassy also organizes other cultural events and supports Swiss-related projects in the Czech Republic.
