A physicist by education, Tomasz Rożek is currently involved in the popularisation of science as a journalist, youtuber and author of books for young adults. Czech audiences can read his book Kosmos (2018), translated by Martin Veselka and published by Jakost. Rożek is also the editor of the NaukaToLubie.pl website and blog, which explains various complex scientific discoveries and phenomena to the general audiences. He has collaborated with The National Geographic and the magazine Focus and has co-authored numerous television and radio broadcasts. He describes his life as “a series of lucky coincidences. I wanted to be a doctor and ended up a physicist. I visited Vienna and met my future wife there. When attempting to conclude my doctorate, I spent four years at Europe’s major science centre. When we wanted our family to grow, the twins were born. And upon my return to Poland to focus on science, I became a journalist.”
