Dorothee Elmiger is Switzerland’s most promising author. She studied history, philosophy and creative writing at Biel, Berlin and Luzern. She lives and works in Zurich and publishes novels, essays and texts on art. In 2010 she debuted with the novel Einladung an die Waghalsigen, followed in 2014 by the novels Schlafgänger and Aus der Zuckerfabrik in 2020. Her texts have been translated into several languages and adapted for the stage. She has received numerous awards, among other the Swiss Literature Award. Book World will see the author introduce her novel Aus der Zuckerfabrik as part of the Das Buch programme. In 2020 the novel was nominated for the Swiss Literature Award.
