Renata Libal

Renata Libal is a Swiss journalist of Czech origin who has spent most of her career in major French‑speaking newsrooms. Born in Prague, she has lived in Lausanne since childhood. After studying literature and a brief period in teaching, she joined the magazine L’Hebdo, covering among other topics the transformation of Czech society after the Velvet Revolution. She later moved into lifestyle and women’s press, serving as editor‑in‑chief of Edelweiss and then Femina. She now heads encore!, a publication she created in 2011. In 2024, she published Tchéquie. La nostalgie n’est jamais légère with Nevicata, exploring the history and spirit of her homeland through personal memories and interviews.
