Kevin Chen

Kevin Chen is a prominent Taiwanese novelist, essayist, and playwright whose work explores memory, family, marginal lives, and the tensions between rural tradition and modern identity. After studying drama and film, he developed a multifaceted literary career spanning fiction, criticism, and performance writing, and later settled in Berlin, where he continues to write while engaging with international literary audiences. He is widely known for Ghost Town, which brought him broad critical recognition and introduced many readers worldwide. His works, translated into multiple languages, have established him as one of the most compelling contemporary literary voices from Taiwan.
