Didi Drobna

Didi Drobna is an Austrian author of Slovak origin. She was born in Bratislava and has lived in Vienna since 1991. Didi Drobna studied German studies and communication science at the University of Vienna. In her work, she primarily focuses on themes of identity, language, family, and the experience of living between cultures. She has received numerous scholarships and awards for her literary work. Her novels are published by Piper, with the most recent one Ostblockherz (2025).
