Sheila Armstrong is a writer and editor. She is the author of How To Gut A Fish, a collection of short stories, and Falling Animals, a novel, both published by Bloomsbury. Her stories have appeared in journals such as « The Stinging Fly » and « Gorse », and in « Young Irelanders » (New Island). Sheila was shortlisted for the Irish Book Awards, the Society of Authors Awards, the Kate O’Brien Award, the Edge Hill Prize, and the RSL Ondaatje Prize. She is an Arts Council Next Generation Artist. Sheila has a BA in English and Psychology and an M.Phil in Popular Literature (Trinity College Dublin). She worked as an editor for a number of Irish publishing houses.
