A Danish historian, Czech Studies scholar, and translator from Czech. He graduated from Aarhus University in 1989 and earned a Ph.D. in 1994. Since that year, he has led the master’s programme in Czech studies and is currently an associate professor in the Department of European Studies. His research focuses on Czech and Czechoslovak history and 19th- and 20th-century literature. He is preparing a collection of studies titled Czech Worlds and significantly contributes to the promotion of Czech culture in Denmark. In 2020, he received the Gratias agit Award for spreading the good name of the Czech Republic abroad.
