Lucia Štasselová is an architect, fundraiser, activist, and municipal politician. She co-founded and led the Children of Slovakia Foundation, the largest grant organisation for children and youth. Since 2014, she has been a municipal deputy in Bratislava, where she also served as Deputy Mayor for Affordable Housing. In 2017, she responded to the migration crisis by co-initiating the Call to Humanity. She chairs the People in Peril Board of Directors, an organisation that assists war-affected countries, including Ukraine. She has been involved in helping Ukraine since day one of the Russian aggression. She is Managing Director of Peace Ukraine and an organiser of We Are Europe protests. The President of the Slovak Republic awarded her for her work.
