In 2004, he gained a PhD in philology. Poet, prose writer, essayist. He has received a number of national awards for poetry and prose, including the Writers’ Union of Romania Award for his poetry collection Îngerul căzut in 2001 and for his novel Laika in 2015. Among the poetry collections published, we present: Ceremonii insidioase (1985), Poeme în alb-negru (1987), Intimitatea absenţei (1992), Cântece de îngropat pe cei vii (1993),Fratele meu, străinul (1995), Complicitate (1998), Îngerul căzut (2001), Gloria milei (2003), Paznicul ploii (2010), Comunitatea artistică (2020). His poems and prose have been translated into French, English, Russian, Serbo-Croatian, German, Italian, Czech, Swedish, Chinese, Hungarian, Slovak and Macedonian.
