Fedja Stukan

Fedja Stukan is a Bosnian actor, writer, and activist. He gained recognition for his roles in In the Land of Blood and Honey (2011) and Child 44(2015). His autobiographical book BLANK offers a raw account of his experiences during the Bosnian War, his battle with heroin addiction, and his path to recovery. Through sharp, unfiltered prose, Stukan explores trauma, survival, and personal transformation. His writing, much like his activism, challenges political oppression in the Balkans. A vocal critic of authoritarian regimes, Stukan was banned from entering Serbia in 2024. Beyond BLANK, he continues to use literature and social media to advocate for human rights and political change. His novel BLANK is published in Czech by Zeď (trans. Jakub Novosad).
