Clemens Meyer

Clemens Meyer was born in Halle and lives in Leipzig. After finishing school, he worked as a construction worker, mover, and security guard before studying at the German Literature Institute in Leipzig. He published his highly acclaimed debut novel Als wir träumten in 2006. His short‑story collection Die Nacht, die Lichterreceived the Leipzig Book Fair Prize in 2008. Further works followed, including the novel Im Stein (2013) and the short‑story collection Die stillen Trabanten (2017). His most recent novel, Die Projektoren (Czech: Projektory, 2026), was nominated for the German Book Prize in 2024.
