Tanya Stewner is one of Germany’s most successful authors of books for children and young adults. She began writing stories already at the age of ten. She has sold more than 5 million copies worldwide, her books have been translated into more than 20 languages, and she won numerous awards. She lived in London and studied English, German and literature. Her first series about a little red-haired girl, Liliane Susewind, became a worldwide success despite 24 rejections and was adapted into a film in 2018. Since 2010, Tanya has devoted herself full time to writing. Her fantasy novel series Alea Aquarius (Alea – Girl of the Sea), with its themes of ocean pollution and social issues, has achieved great success, with a film adaptation and a TV series planned. Tanya lives with her family on the Lower Rhine. She and her husband Guido are a well-known songwriting duo. The music album Alea Aquarius has already reached five and a half million streams.
