Seh-lynn Chai is a South Korean writer and a human rights activist. In her first book, The Hard Road Out, she gives voice to the North Korean refugee Jihyun Park, whom she encountered while living in the United Kingdom, and tells the story of two women who, despite their extreme differences, learn how to trust one another and focus on what unites them: a message of hope and peace. She has a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in French literature from Sorbonne University and an MBA from Columbia Business School. She lives in London and Seoul.
