Steffi Böttger completed formal acting training and worked in several theatres. She is the author of a collected edition of Hans Natnek’s journalistic works and published Natonek’s biography Für immer fremd [Forever Foreign] with the Lehmstedt Verlag publishing house in 2013. Nowadays, Böttger not only writes cultural-historical guides to German and Swiss cities but also focuses on authors of the early 19th century. She regularly publishes texts on this topic in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and Leipziger Blätter. She works as a narrator of audiobooks in the recording studio of the German Central Library for the Blind in Leipzig and as a voice actor for documentaries on Arte and ARD.
