This Romanian poet, prose writer and essayist graduated from the Faculty of Letters of the Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca. He continued his studies at the University of Bucharest with a master’s degree in contemporary literature, later obtaining a doctorate with a thesis on Eastern European fantasy literature. He has published several novels and volumes of essays, stories and poems. Fragments of his poetic work have been translated into 16 languages. In 2012, he won the Young Prose Writer of the Year Award for the Teofil and the Wooden Dog novel. The volume of poems Lullabies For My Generation brought him the prize of the Observator Cultural magazine. He is currently a lecturer at the Hyperion University in Bucharest.
