Simona Goșuová

This Romanian prose writer and translator studied applied linguistics and English language teaching at the English-Romanian section of the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures at the University of Bucharest. She published short prose in various magazines and anthologies. In 2020, she debuted with the volume of stories Fragil (published by Polirom). In 2021, this book won the best debut award from the Observator Cultural magazine, The High-School Students Award for the Most Beloved Book at the FILIT festival, the Sofia Nădejde Award for Literature Written by Women in the Debut Prose category, it was a finalist for the Ziarul de Iași National Prose Award and nominated for the Romanian Writers’ Union Awards. In November 2023, she published the novel Stela (the Polirom publishing house).
