Réka Mán-Várhegyi spent her childhood in Târgu Mureș, Romania, and now lives in Budapest, Hungary, working as an editor at a children’s book publisher. Her first book, Boldogtalanság az Auróra-telepen [Unhappiness at the Aurora Housing Estate, 2014], was a collection of short stories. After that, she published two novels: Mágneshegy [Magnetic Hill, 2018]and Vázlat valami máshoz [Sketch Something Else, 2022]. Mán-Várhegyi has several children’s books and a book for young adults to her name. She is a recipient, among others, of the Tibor Déry Prize (2018) and the European Union Prize for Literature (2019). She is a mother of two children.
