Stanislav Struhar

Stanislav Struhar is one of the most original contemporary Austrian writers. He was born in Gottwald, currently Zlín, and in 1988 he emigrated with his wife to Austria. He made his poetry debut in Austria, his early novels were published in the Czech Republic, followed by Czech translations of works already written in German. He is one of the most important German writers of Czech origin, his extensive literary work has received many accolades. He lives with his family in Vienna. In his compositionally and aesthetically mature work, Colors of the Future, Stanislav Struhar presents three excellent prose works full of surprising twists and connections, captivating melancholy and intellectual individuality; in an unmistakable style, in which the boundary between prose and poetry is lost, it captures an impressive portrait of contemporary Vienna.
