Guest of the book fair Svět knihy Praha 2024
Kateryna Yehorushkina is a Ukrainian writer, TED speaker and member of PEN Ukraine. She has a master’s degree in literature and graduated from postgraduate studies at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. Kateryna is the author of more than twenty books and a lecturer in creative writing. The rights to her books have been sold to ten countries. She received several national awards and honors for her books. The BBC News Ukraine and PEN Ukraine included her books in their lists of the best books of the years 2022 and 2023. Kateryna is a holder of scholarships of the Documenting Ukraine program scholarship (headed by Timothy Snyder) and of the Czech Ministry of Culture. Since the Russian full-scale invasion, Kateryna has been collecting testimonies in the de-occupied territories for her new book.
